We're looking for reliable, capable, Salsa/Bachata dancers to join our team of Part-Time traveling performers and instructors for the top Latin themed event in the College/University market in the US.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal characteristics for our team dancers include being professional, welcoming, outgoing, willing to interact with complete beginners, and having a positive attitude! Clean driving record is required as well. Due to the planning and travel requirements, you must have an organized calendar/schedule.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT ON THE JOB
Team Dancers help host high energy beginner workshops, demo of our two main dance styles, Salsa and Bachata, then most importantly, have fun while helping guests have a memorable time.
Most if not all shows require travel, either driving or taking a flight from your home-base. The total time at the venue is around 6 hours from load-in, sound check, warmups, show time, to load-out. Our actual “show time” is a 3 hour long program starting with welcoming guests, beginner workshop, demos, then a 2 hour Latin Dance Party.
During any downtime, you can explore the town or city you’re visiting.
FREQUENCY OF WORK
Most team dancers average between 2-4 shows per academic semester.
We've hosted and performed shows all over the USA and you could too! Our brand is growing so team dancers who are easy to work with, do a good job at shows, and are keen on working more frequently can expect more opportunities over time.
PAY, EXPENSES AND BENEFITS
All dancers start at $250 per-show, minimum. Pay varies based on show location and depending on if it is a drive-to or fly-to show. Additional pay increase comes from being trained to take on additional roles on the crew in addition to dancing after any preliminary test phases.
We cover all flight, hotel rental car, and fuel, and lodging on the night following the show and/or for any required travel days if travel cannot be completed easily or safely in a tighter schedule. A meal is provided the night of the show, hotels are often booked where breakfast is provided. We provide a meal Per-Diem on most travel days.
One perk to being on the team is you get paid to travel and dance! Once team dancers pass their preliminary phase, we allow dancers to request a preference of departure or return flight dates if they wish to do some sightseeing on their own time. We also sometimes have the opportunity to do mini-tours at oversea military bases and some cool corporate events that we only take our best dancers too.
Note: Dancers are on-boarded as freelancers/sub-contractors, therefore we provide no other benefits or needed gear or equipment (ie, dance shoes, dance apparel, healthcare, etc.. insurance, etc.)

We vett all potential team dancers. To make the process easier, provide either/or a creative resume and a professional resume, a personal statement, at least 2 professional references, a link to either a public social media account or Linkedin profile, and a sample video of you dancing either bachata or salsa with any application.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAMPLE/DEMO VIDEO
These do not need to be overly professional or of a formal choreographed routine. We just need to see your ability and general skill level dancing salsa or bachata. You can send a video of a routine, a solo routine, a team performance, or simply a video of you dancing for a few minutes with your favorite salsaro or salsara at a party or club night. The most important thing is the video can’t be super shaky or too dark and we need to be able to see you from head to toe.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: We unfortunately do not train dancers, you must already have experience as a Salsa, Bachata, Merengue dancer.
